JUNIORS REGISTRATION – WINTER 2012 SEASON
It is time to register with the Camberwell Hockey Club Junior Section for the 2012 Winter season.
Please read carefully the Registration Information document attached to this page. This provides comprehensive information about the registration process, selection and training details, and about the Winter season dates - and will answer many of the questions you may have.
There are three ways to register with Camberwell Hockey Club Junior Section for the Winter season.
To Register

(2) Mail - print out the registration form attached here, complete it, and mail it to be received by Thursday 9th February 2012 to the Junior Registrar at the address below.

(3) in person - Print out the Registration Form attached to this email, and bring it with your payment to our Registration Morning at Matlock Reserve, Canterbury on Saturday 11th February, between 9 am - 11 am.
Uniform Shop
The Uniform shop shall be open on Registration Day (Sat 11th February 2012, 9.00 am - 11.00 am) and regularly through pre-season (times to be advised).
Mouthguards
While the Club does not endorse any particular brand of mouthguard, all players must wear a mouthguard at training and at matches. Mouthguards are available from pharmacists and can be fitted by dentists. As in past years for your convenience, Sportsguard will be in attendance at the Matlock Clubrooms on Registration Day (9.00 am - 11.00 am) to take fittings for mouthguards. The Sportsguard order form can be downloaded below. Sportsguard wii return to the clubrooms in the near future (we shall advise you of the dates) for players to pick up mouthguards.
Key Dates
Registration by Mail is required by Thursday February 9th 2012 or in person at the Clubhouse on Saturday Feb 11th between 9.00 am - 11.00 am.
Training is proposed to take place as follows (U9 Thursday; U11 Thursday; U13 Tuesday; U15 Monday and U17 Wednesday) and will commence in the week of February 20. Note training for U9 and U11 will be at Matlock: U13, U15 and U17 will be at Matlock and Koonung (alternating).
Selection trials are scheduled for Saturday/Sunday March 3/4 (times to be confirmed) - refer to attached information.
Round 1 of the Winter season is on the weekend of April 13 (Friday night) and April 14 (Saturday morning).
Your Help & Involvement
Finally a request for your help please. Camberwell Hockey Club is a large and successful community-based club with more than 300 Junior players expected to register. We have no paid staff and all that we achieve is the result of significant volunteer efforts, especially by our players’ parents. We ask for your involvement – there are lots of ways to help out – you can be a Coach, Team Manager or an Age Group Co-ordinator, Umpire, Uniform Shop Co-ordinator or shop volunteer, or help as a Committee Member. Is 2012 the year that you will put up your hand to help us? We certainly hope so – because the more people who become actively involved, the more the tasks are shared. Your kids will love you to be involved and you will enhance your enjoyment of their hockey and life around our great club. You don’t need to be a hockey player yourself or to know a lot about hockey either – we all learn as we go along.
