David Wansbrough elected to Olympic Executive

As an affiliated member of the Victorian Olympic Council, Hockey Victoria recently nominated David Wansbrough as a Member of the Executive.
It is with great pleasure that we congratulate David on his successful election to the Executive at the Victorian Olympic Council’s Annual General Meeting held at the Melbourne Cricket Ground last night.
“David Wansbrough’s inclusion to the Executive of the Victorian Olympic Council is a great acknowledgment of the on-going positive contribution that he has made to the Victorian Olympic Council as a Committee Member of the Olympians Club of Victoria”, said Ben Hartung Hockey Victoria’s CEO . “His financial business experience will be invaluable to the Council and it is great to have a hockey legend represented on the Council”.
The Victorian Olympic Council represents the Olympic Movement throughout Victoria. It creates opportunities to share in the ideals and aspirations of the Olympic athlete through participation in Olympic experiences, educational programs, volunteering and fundraising activities in support of the Australian Olympic Team. David is currently a Director and Partner with Evans & Partners Stockbrokers and, from 1988-1994 during his Olympic quests, he was an accountant at PriceWaterhouseCoopers.
Following on from his retirement of representing Australia at international level, he became a Financial Advisor at Goldman and Sachs JB from 1995-2007.
