It is with great sadness I advise that Wayne Thornton died earlier today following a hard fought battle with cancer.

 

Wayne is a former Club captain, dual SL1 premiership player, Victorian and Australian representative and part of the Club’s Thornton dynasty.

 

To his wife Ruth, son James, mother Dawn, brother Tony, sisters Michele and Lisa and their families, we extend our deepest sympathy.

 

I shall advise further details as they come to hand.
